Can I Clone a Drive with Windows Running on it?

We do NOT recommend you do to so. You’d better do as follows to clone the drive:

1. Shut down Windows.
2. Unmount the source drive/disk.
3. Mount the source drive/disk to another computer with Windows & DataNumen Disk Image installed.
4. Use DataNumen Disk Image to clone the source drive/disk to an image file.

When restoring the image file, you’d better do as follows:

1. Mount the target drive/disk to another computer with Windows & DataNumen Disk Image installed.
2. Copy the image file to that computer.
3. Use DataNumen Disk Image to restore the image file to the target drive/disk.
