What is DataNumen Outlook Repair?

DataNumen Outlook Repair(DOLKR) (formerly Advanced Outlook Repair) is the best Microsoft outlook recovery tool. What is the difference between DataNumen Outlook Repair and DataNumen Outlook Drive Recovery?


The only difference between these two products is that they use different source data, as follows:

  • DataNumen Outlook Repair(DOLKR) takes a corrupt or damaged PST file as the source data.


  • DataNumen Outlook Drive Recovery(DODR) takes a drive or disk as the source data. The drive or disk is the place where you have stored your PST files in the past.

So if you have a corrupt or damaged PST file in hand, then you can use DOLKR to repair the file and recover the emails inside the PST file. If DOLKR fails to recover the wanted emails, then you still have the chance to get these emails, by using DODR to scan the drive/disk where you have stored the PST file in the past.

Or if you do not have a PST file in hand, for example, you format your whole disk/drive, you permanently remove the PST file, or your hard disk/drive is broken and you cannot access the PST files on it, etc., then you can use DODR directly.


When I start the reparation, I get the error message "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Office Outlook and set it as the default mail client." and DataNumen Outlook Repair quits at once. How to solve this issue?


DataNumen Outlook Repair requires 32bit or 64bit MAPI to be installed and set properly on the computer.

To solve this issue, please:

  1. Install 32bit or 64bit Microsoft Outlook on your computer if it has not be installed yet.

Set Outlook as the default e-mail client on the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

  2.1 Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.

On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.


Click the Programs tab.


In the E-mail box, click Microsoft Outlook .

  2.5 Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.

Restart DataNumen Outlook Repair to repair your PST files.

If you do not have 32bit Outlook or 64bit Outlook installed, then you can install the free 32bit MAPI package to solve the problem, as follows:

Restart DataNumen Outlook Repair to repair your PST files.


When repairing the PST file, I get the error message in the repair log "Error 6: Cannot create destination PST file. xxxxxxx. If you have Outlook 2000 or earlier versions installed, please make sure it is installed in the Corporate or Workgroup mode. For Outlook 2002 and later versions, please make sure Exchange Server components are not installed on the current computer. You may also refer to the faq in the help document for the detailed information.". How to solve this issue?


This error occurs when the MAPI subsystem on your computer is not installed or configured correctly. Please refer to "error 6" in DataNumen Outlook Repair help document for more detailed information and solution.


When repairing a file under Windows 10, I get "DOLKR.exe has stopped working". How to solve the problem?


If Microsoft Outlook is not installed on your system, you will get this error. Please install Microsoft Outlook on your system and then try again.

Alternatively, you can find another computer with Microsoft Outlook installed, then install and run DataNumen Outlook Repair on that computer.
