Using DataNumen Excel Repair to Recover Corrupt Excel Files
   

When your Microsoft Excel .xls, .xlw and .xlsx files are corrupt or damaged due to various reasons and you cannot open them successfully with Excel, you can use DataNumen Excel Repair to solve the problem. It will scan the corrupt file and generate a new error-free file for you.

 
Step 1 Start DataNumen Excel Repair.

Note: Before recovering any corrupt or damaged Excel file with DataNumen Excel Repair, please close any other applications that may modify the file. And please also close Microsoft Excel.
Step 2
Select the corrupt or damaged Excel file to be repaired:
Select MDB File to be Repaired

You can input the Excel file name directly or click the Browse for Source MDB File button to browse and select the file.

Step 3
By default, DataNumen Excel Repair will save the fixed Excel file into a new file named xxxx_fixed.xls for .xls file and xxxx_fixed.xlsx for .xlsx file, where xxxx is the name of the source Excel file. For example, for source Excel file Damaged.xls, the default name for the fixed file will be Damaged_fixed.xls. If you want to use another name, then please select or set it accordingly:

You can input the fixed file name directly or click the Browse for Destination MDB File button to browse and select the fixed file.

Step 4

Click the "Start Repair" button, and DataNumen Excel Repair will start scanning and repairing the source Excel file. Progress bar Process Bar will indicate the repair progress.

After the repair process, if the source Excel file can be repaired successfully, you will see a message box like this:

Step 5 Now you can open the fixed Excel file with Microsoft Excel.
