Using DataNumen BKF Repair to Recover Corrupt BKF Files
 
 

When your BKF files are corrupt or damaged due to various reasons and you cannot restore them correctly, you can use DataNumen BKF Repair to scan the BKF files and recover as much data from them as possible.

 
Step 1

Start DataNumen BKF Repair:

  Note: Before recovering any corrupt or damaged BKF file with DataNumen BKF Repair, please close Microsoft Backup Utility and any other applications that may modify the BKF file.
Step 2
Select the corrupt or damaged BKF file to be repaired:

You can input the BKF file name directly or click the Browse for Source BKF File button to browse and select the file.

Step 3
By default, DataNumen BKF Repair will recover the items in the BKF file and save them into a directory xxxx_recovered, where xxxx is the source BKF file name. For example, for file Damaged.bkf , the default output directory will be Damaged_recovered. If you want to use another name, then please select or set it accordingly:

You can input the directory name directly or click the Browse for Output Directory button to browse and select the directory.

Step 4

Click the "Start Repair" button, and DataNumen BKF Repair will start scanning and repairing the source BKF file. Progress bar Process Bar will indicate the repair progress.

After the repair process, if the source BKF file can be repaired successfully, you will see a message box like this:

Step 5 Now you can open the directory Damaged_recovered containing all the recovered items in the BKF file.
