Using Advanced BKF Repair to Recover Damaged MS Backup Files |

When your Microsoft backup files(.bkf files) are damaged or corrupt due to various reasons and you cannot restore them correctly, you can use Advanced BKF Repair to scan the .bkf files and recover the data from them as much as possible.

| Step 1 |
Start Advanced BKF Repair. |

Note: Before recovering damaged or corrupt Microsoft bkf file with Advanced BKF Repair, please close Microsoft Backup Utility and any other applications that may modify the bkf file. |

| Step 2 |
| Select the damaged or corrupt Microsoft bkf file to be repaired: |

You can input the bkf file name directly or click  button to browse and select the file. |

| Step 3 |
| By default, Advanced BKF Repair will recover the items in the bkf file and save them into a directory xxxx_recovered, where xxxx is the source bkf file name. For example, for file Damaged.bkf , the default output directory will be Damaged_recovered. If you want to use another name, then please select or set it accordingly: |

You can input the directory name directly or click button to browse and select the directory. |

| Step 4 |
Click  button, Advanced BKF Repair will start scanning and repairing the source bkf file. Progress bar  will indicate the repair progress.
After the repair process, if the source bkf file can be repaired successfully, you will see a messagebox like this:

| Step 5 |
Now you can open the directory Damaged_recovered containing all the recovered items in the bkf file. |

Note: The demo version will display the following messagebox to show the success of the recovery:
where you can click  button to see a detailed report of every recoverable file in the BKF file, including the file name, file size, as well as the data set, volume, and directory the file belongs to, like this:
According to the report, you can know whether Advanced BKF Repair can recover your bkf file. However, the demo version will not save the recovered files. Please order the full version to get these files. |
