The Unveiling of House Pride

1. Unveiling House Pride (King’s Cross Station)

Esmeralda was standing in King’s Cross Station, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves as she prepared to board the Hogwarts Express. Albus Potter and his siblings approached her, their house scarves proudly displayed around their necks. Esmeralda couldn’t help but admire the vibrant colors of each scarf and the sense of pride that seemed to emanate from the Potter siblings.

Albus noticed Esmeralda’s curiosity and explained to her the significance of house pride at Hogwarts. He told her how each student belonged to one of four houses – Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff – and how the house system fostered a sense of community and competition among the students. Albus shared stories of past house victories in Quidditch matches and academic competitions, emphasizing how important it was for each student to take pride in their house.

Esmeralda listened attentively, realizing the importance of belonging to a house and the role it played in shaping her Hogwarts experience. As she boarded the train with Albus and his siblings, she felt a newfound sense of excitement and anticipation for the adventures that awaited her at the magical school.

2. A Heated Debate (Ghost World)

As tensions rose in the Great Hall, Lucius Malfoy’s sneer only seemed to grow as he directed his gaze towards Esmeralda, the new student standing before him. The Sorting Hat had barely touched her head before Malfoy made his intentions clear – Slytherin was where she belonged, according to him.

The Hogwarts founders and ghosts, however, were not about to let this injustice stand. Helga Hufflepuff’s voice rose above the murmurs, her unwavering stance a stark contrast to Malfoy’s underhanded attempts at intimidation. “Esmeralda shall go where she is meant to be, not where you dictate,” she declared firmly, her words carrying weight in the ancient hall.

Nearly Headless Nick, floating nearby, added his support. “We do not bend to the will of bullies like you, Malfoy. Hogwarts is a place of acceptance and growth, not of fear and manipulation.” The other ghosts nodded in agreement, their spectral forms shimmering with a united purpose.

Esmeralda, though intimidated by Malfoy’s imposing figure, found strength in the solidarity of those around her. She squared her shoulders and looked Malfoy in the eye. “I will not be swayed by your threats or your attempts at coercion. I will choose my own path, with the guidance of those who truly care for me.”

Malfoy’s sneer faltered as the resolve in Esmeralda’s voice reached his ears. The debate raged on, but it was clear that the ghosts and founders would not let him have his way without a fight.
