Recover a batch of files

Click "Batch Recovery" tab in the dialog, you can recover a batch of corrupted MDF database(.mdf) files, or recover MDF/NDF file data from undamaged or damaged virtual machine disk files, backup files or disk image files:

1.Click "Add Files" to add MDF database(.mdf) files to the "List of files to be recovered" list. The initial recovery status is "Not Recovered".

2.Click "Search Files" to search and select MDF database(.mdf) files to be recovered on the local computer.

3.Click "Remove Files" can remove the selected files in the list.

4.Click "Remove All" can clear the list.

5.If your SQL Server MDF/NDF file is stored on the following file:

VMWare VMDK(Virtual Machine Disk) file(*.vmdk). For example, you store your SQL Server MDF/NDF file on a virtual disk in VMWare.

Virtual PC VHD(Virtual Hard Disk) file(*.vhd). For example, you store your SQL Server MDF/NDF file on a virtual disk in Virtual PC. Or you make a backup of your SQL Server MDF/NDF file via Windows Backup and Restore function.

Acronis True Image file(*.tib)

Norton Ghost file(*.gho, *.v2i)

Windows NTBackup file(*.bkf)

ISO image file(*.iso)

Nero image file(*.nrg)

and you cannot access the data in the MDF/NDF file for some reasons, for example:

You delete your SQL Server MDF/NDF file from the virtual disk in VMWare or Virtual PC.

You format the virtual disk in VMWare or Virtual PC by mistake.

The virtual disk in VMWare or Virtual PC cannot be mounted or launched properly.

The virtual disk in VMWare or Virtual PC is corrupt or damaged.

The backup file on the backup media is corrupt or damaged and you cannot restore your MDF/NDF file from it.

The disk image file is corrupt or damaged and you cannot retrieve your MDF/NDF file from it.

And many more ...

then you can still recover the data in the MDF/NDF file by scanning and recovering the corresponding virtual machine disk file, backup file or disk image file. Just add the file to the source file to be recovered.

You can also use "Source File Format" to specify the format of the data in the MDF/NDF file to be recovered.

6.After the files to be recovered have been added into the list. Click "Start Recovery" to recover all the files in the list one by one. After a file has been recovered successfully, its status will change to "Successfully". Otherwise, its status will become "Failed". You can also click "Stop Recovery" button to abort the reparation process. In that case, the recovery status of the file will become "Aborted".If for some reason, the batch recovery process skips a file and continues with the next one in the batch, then recovery status of the skipped file will become "Skipped".

7.You can click the "Save Log" button to save the batch recovery log into a file. You can include additional information in the log file by selecting the "Include System Information" option in the save file dialog. These information can help our technical supports to diagnose your system and solve your problems more efficiently.
