Options

Click "Options" tab in the dialog, you can set options in recovering process:

If "Fast scan and recovery" option is selected, then DSR will use a fast way to scan and recover data from your MDF file, which will reduce the recovery time. We recommend you to select this option.

If you know the range of the date/time of the records in the corrupt database, then you can enable "All date/time in the corrupt database must be in the range" option and specify the range, which may improve the recovery results.

If "Recover lost & found data" option is selected, then DSR will recover lost and found data for you during the recovery process. We recommend you to select this option.

If "Recover deleted records" option is selected, then DSR will recover deleted records during the recovery process. We recommend you to select this option.

If "Recover indexes" option is selected, then DSR will recover indexes during the recovery process. We recommend you to select this option.

If "If failing to recover unique indexes or primary keys, then try to recover them as non-unique indexes" option is selected, then if DSR fails to recover will recover unique indexes or primary keys, then it will try to recover them as non-unique indexes. This option is selected by default.

If "Decrypt encrypted objects" option is selected, then DSR will recover and decrypt encrypted objects. Otherwise, DSR will recover encrypted objects but keep them encrypted in the recovered database. This option is selected by default.

If "Ignore empty records" option is selected, then DSR will ignore all empty records during the recovery process. We recommend you to select this option.

If "Always set column nullable property to" is selected, then DSR will always set the nullable property of a column to the specific value. This option is not selected by default, which means DSR will not set the nullable property of the columns, and the nullable properties of the columns will be set by SQL Server based on a default rule. If this option is selected, then you can choose the following three values for the nullable property:

1.Recovered Value: Use the value recovered from the source database.

2.Nullable: Always set to nullable.

3.Not Nullable: Always set to NOT nullable.

Whether a column is nullable will affect the recovery result, as below:

Note:

DataNumen SQL Recovery will remember the options the last time you set.
