Step 2: Set scan options

In this page, you can set the options for the scan process:

Scan for deleted folders that are recoverable. If selected, then DataNumen NTFS Undelete will not only scan for deleted files, but also scan for deleted folders. Thus will produce more results. This option is selected by default.

Scan for deleted files and folders in Recycle Bin. If selected, then DataNumen NTFS Undelete will also scan for deleted files and folders in Recycle Bin. Thus will produce more results. This option is selected by default.

Exhaustive scan disk data for deleted files. If selected, then DataNumen NTFS Undelete will also scan the raw disk data exhaustively and search for deleted files of more than 70 known types, by using an internal expert system with extensive knowledge about the characteristics and structures of the file type specifications. Thus will produce more results. However, this process will take a very long time if your hard drive is large. This option is selected by default.

Set Scan File Types. If "Exhaustive scan disk data for deleted files" option is selected, then "Set Scan File Types" button is enabled and you can click it and select the file types to be checked during the exhaustive scan process.

After you finish setting the scan options, please click "Next" button in the bottom-right corner of the dialog to go to the next step.

Note:

DNTU will remember the options the last time you set.
