Repair a batch of files

Click "Batch Repair" tab in the dialog, you can repair a batch of corrupted Outlook personal folder(.pst) files, or Exchange offline storage(.ost) file, or recover Outlook data from undamaged or damaged virtual machine disk files, backup files or disk image files:

1.Specify the format of the source file in "Source File Format" combo box. Note if you specify "Outlook 97-2002" format, "Outlook 2003-2010" format, "Outlook 2013-2019/Office 365 PST" format, or "Outlook 2013-2019/Office 365 OST" format, then all source PST/OST files or Outlook data to be recovered in batch must be in the same format, for example, Outlook 2003-2010 format. If the actual format of one source PST/OST file or Outlook data is different from the format specified in "Source File Format", then that file will not be recovered. If you don't know the format of the corrupt Outlook PST/OST files or Outlook data to be recovered, then you can select "Auto Determined" so that DOLKR will determine the format of the PST/OST files or Outlook data automatically.

2.Specify the format of the fixed target PST files in "Target File Format" combo box. All the recovered PST files will be output in that format. If you have Outlook 2003-2019 or Outlook for Office 365 installed, then you can specify the output format as either Outlook 97-2002 format, or Outlook 2003-2019/Office 365 format. However, if you have Outlook 97-2002 installed, then you can only specify Outlook 97-2002 format. You may also select "Auto Determined" option so that DOLKR will output fixed PST files according to the version of Outlook installed on your computer, i.e., the fixed files are in Outlook 97-2000 format if Outlook 97-2002 is installed, or in Outlook 2003-2019/Office 365 format if Outlook 2003-2019 or Outlook for Office 365 is installed.

3.Click "Add Files" to add Outlook personal folder(.pst) files, Exchange offline storage(.ost) file, or other formats of source files to the "List of files to be repaired" list. The initial repair status is "Not Repaired".

4.Click "Search Files" to search and select Outlook personal folder(.pst) files to be repaired on the local computer.

5.Click "Remove Files" can remove the selected files in the list.

6.Click "Remove All" can clear the list.

7.If your Outlook PST/OST file is stored on the following file:

VMWare VMDK(Virtual Machine Disk) file(*.vmdk). For example, you store your Outlook PST/OST file on a virtual disk in VMWare.

Virtual PC VHD(Virtual Hard Disk) file(*.vhd). For example, you store your Outlook PST/OST file on a virtual disk in Virtual PC. Or you make a backup of your Outlook PST/OST file via Windows Backup and Restore function.

Acronis True Image file(*.tib)

Norton Ghost file(*.gho, *.v2i)

Windows NTBackup file(*.bkf)

ISO image file(*.iso)

Disk image file(*.img)

CD/DVD image file(*.bin)

Alcohol 120% Mirror Disk File(MDF) file(*.mdf)

Nero image file(*.nrg)

and you cannot access the data in the PST/OST file for some reasons, for example:

You delete your Outlook PST/OST file from the virtual disk in VMWare or Virtual PC.

You format the virtual disk in VMWare or Virtual PC by mistake.

The virtual disk in VMWare or Virtual PC cannot be mounted or launched properly.

The virtual disk in VMWare or Virtual PC is corrupt or damaged.

The backup file on the backup media is corrupt or damaged and you cannot restore your PST/OST file from it.

The disk image file is corrupt or damaged and you cannot retrieve your PST/OST file from it.

And many more ...

then you can still recover the data in the PST/OST file by scanning and recovering the corresponding virtual machine disk file, backup file or disk image file. Just add the file as the source file to be repaired.

8.After the files to be repaired have been added into the list. Click "Start Repair" to repair all the files in the list one by one. After a file has been repaired successfully, its status will change to "Successfully". Otherwise, its status will become "Failed". You can also click "Stop Repair" button to abort the reparation process. In that case, the repair status of the file will become "Aborted". If for some reason, the batch repair process skips a file and continues with the next one in the batch, then repair status of the skipped file will become "Skipped".

9.You can click the "Save Log" button to save the batch repair log into a file. You can also include additional information in the log file by selecting the "Include System Information" option in the save file dialog. These information can help our technical supports to diagnose your system and solve your problems more efficiently.

10.For advanced users, you can click the "Save Verbose Log" button to save a verbose batch repair log into a file. The verbose batch repair log includes the information of every recovered object. The verbose batch repair log can also be sent to our support department so that our engineer can analyze the case for you.

Note:

If you are using a demo version of DOLKR, then after the reparation, it will output fixed PST files containing all the recovered messages and other items, with the actual contents in these items filled with a piece of demo information. Please order the full version to get the actual data in these items.

DO NOT IMPORT THE FIXED FILES GENERATED BY THE DEMO VERSION. INSTEAD, YOU SHOULD OPEN THEM. See "How to Open PST File in Outlook" for more detailed information.
