Symptom:

When opening a damaged or corrupt AutoCAD DWG file with AutoDesk AutoCAD, you see the following error message:

Internal Error !dbqspace.h@410: eOutOfRange

Then AutoCAD will either refuse to open the file, or just crash.

Precise Explanation:

When AutoCAD tries to write or modify data in the DWG file, a disaster occurs, such as power failure, disk failure, etc., which makes the DWG file corrupt and lead to this error.

AutoCAD has a built-in “Recover” command that can be used to recover a corrupt or damaged DWG file, as follows:

  1. Select menu File > Drawing Utilities > Recover
  2. In the Select File dialog box (a standard file selection dialog box), enter the corrupt or damaged drawing file name or select the file.
  3. The recovery results are displayed in the text window.
  4. If the file can be recovered, it will also be opened in the main window.

If the file cannot be recovered by AutoCAD, then you can use our product DataNumen DWG Recovery to repair the corrupt DWG file and solve the problem.
