# The file recovered by DataNumen Zip/RAR Repair is still corrupted. Why?

If your Zip/RAR archive is badly damaged, it is possible that the files inside it can only be recovered and extracted partially. In such a case, these files may still be corrupted and cannot be opened successfully. You need another tool to re-repair these files.

For example, there are a PDF file MyDoc.pdf and a Word document file MyWord.doc in your Zip archive MyFiles.zip.
