Steps to Prepare File Sharing

In this article, we will take an example of editing a sharing file on Microsoft OneDrive with two Email accounts, A and B, at the same time.

  1. Firstly, use your account, let’s say account A, to sign in Microsoft OneDrive.
  2. Then click “New” on the upper-left of the webpage.
  3. Next choose “Folder” on the list menu.Click "New" -> Click "Folder"
  4. Then type a folder name in the text box of “Folder”.
  5. Click “Create”.Type Folder Name -> Click "Create"
  6. Now right click the newly created folder.
  7. Choose “Share” on the menu.Right Click the Sharing File -> Choose "Share"
  8. You can see there are many ways to share this file. Just choose one according to your need. Here we will go “Email”.Choose a Type of Sharing Way
  9. Now input the Email account in the text box. Here we should type account B that is the account which has the permission to edit on this file. Certainly, you can type more than one account here.
  10. Click “Share” button.Type the Email Address of the Other Person -> Click "Share" Button

Steps to Upload Sharing File

  1. First thing, open the file which you want to share.
  2. Then click “File” tab.
  3. Next click “Save& Send” option.
  4. Choose “Save to Web”.
  5. Then on the right side, click “Sign In” icon.Click "File" -> Click "Save& Send" -> Click "Save to Web" -> Click "Sign In"
  6. Now a sign in box will pop up. Enter E-mail address of account A.
  7. Then enter password.
  8. Next click “OK”.Type Email Address -> Type Password -> Click "OK"
  9. Now you can see the “sharing file” folder. Click it.
  10. Then click the “Save As” icon below.Click the Sharing File -> Click "Save As"

Work on the Sharing File at the Same Time

  1. If another person sign in Microsoft OneDrive with account B, he can click to open the “sharing file” folder.
  2. Then right click the file.
  3. And choose “Open in Word Online” or “Open in Word”.Right Click the File -> Choose "Open in Word Online" or "Open in Word"
  4. If choosing “Open in Word Online”, both A and B can know who are working on the file currently and where they are editing right now, such as below:Information and Marks to Show Who and the Places They Are Working on

On the upper-right side of the webpage, you can see the number of people who are editing on this file. And there are colored flags appear in the file, showing certain locations are unavailable for editing because another person is working here.

  1. Hi this is kinda of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  2. Multiple users editing on the same Word document is possible. It would be a shame if that wasn’t possible as Google Doc allows that. Anyhow, it’s important that backups are made as recovering corrupted files is such a headache.
