The Baby King

1. The Discovery

Scotland was taken aback when they entered the throne room to find England sitting on the throne, holding a plushie in one hand and a sippy cup in the other. The scene was quite unexpected, as Scotland had not anticipated such a sight. England looked up, startled, as Scotland stood in the doorway, their confusion evident. Scotland couldn’t help but chuckle at the ridiculous sight before them.

England quickly tried to explain the situation, mentioning something about needing a break from the stress of ruling and finding comfort in these childhood items. Scotland couldn’t help but find the whole situation amusing, but also slightly concerning. It was clear that England was under a lot of pressure and perhaps needed some support.

As they sat down to chat, Scotland reassured England that they were there to help and support them through any challenges they may be facing. The discovery of England’s coping mechanisms led to a deeper understanding between the two nations, strengthening their bond and their unity. Together, they came up with a plan to share the responsibilities of ruling and to ensure that England had the support they needed to lead effectively.

2. The Care

Scotland carefully carries baby England to his room, making sure to support his head and back as she walks. She softly sings a lullaby to him, hoping to soothe him to sleep. Once inside the room, she lays him down in his crib, gently tucking the blanket around him. She dims the lights and closes the curtains to create a calm and peaceful atmosphere for him to nap in.

As she watches over him, Scotland can’t help but feel a sense of protectiveness and warmth towards baby England. She marvels at how small and vulnerable he looks, and she vows to always be there for him, to care for him and keep him safe. She knows that as his older sibling, she has a responsibility to look after him and guide him as he grows.

Before leaving the room, Scotland plants a soft kiss on baby England’s forehead, whispering words of love and reassurance. She quietly exits, leaving the door slightly ajar so she can listen out for any sounds of distress. As she goes about her day, Scotland’s thoughts are never far from baby England, and she eagerly awaits his awakening so she can shower him with more care and affection.
