What is repair log and how to get it?
What is repair log and how to get it?
Solution
Repair log file logs important information, including:
1. The information about the source file to be repaired.
2. The information about the destination output file.
3. The objects recovered during the repair or recovery process.
4. The outstanding errors occur during the repair or recovery process.
5. The total time consumed during the repair or recovery process.
If you select "Include System Information" in the save file dialog when you save the log, then the log file will also include:
1. The configuration information of the computer on which you perform the repair or recovery.
The log file is useful to diagnose possible problems during the repair process. For example, if you see a share violation error in the repair log, you can solve this error by simply closing any other applications that may access the source corrupt file.
The log file is also useful when you request technical support from us, DataNumen, Inc.. Our engineers can analyze the repair log to know more about your case.
To get the repair log, please:
1. Repair your file.
2. After the reparation, click the "Save Log" button.
3. The save file dialog will pop up. Make sure the "Include System Information" option is selected.
4. Click the "Save" button to save the log into a file.
If your log file is larger than 4MB, then you'd better compress it with WinZip or WinRAR before sending it to us.
