About OST Integrity Check tool (Scanost):
Microsoft provides OST Integrity Check tool, also called scanost, that can be used to check and fix errors in your local OST file when you encounter errors in synchronizing the OST file with the Exchange server. Scanost will compare the data between the local OST file and the Exchange server, find any inconsistencies and errors, and then try to fix them. Scanost is installed with Outlook. You can search for "scanost.exe" in your local computer to get it.
Advanced Exchange Recovery is Much More Better Than Scanost:
Though scanost can be of some help in fixing inconsistencies and errors in OST files, Advanced Exchange Recovery is much more better, because:

Scanost can only fix some minor synchronization errors. While Advanced Exchange Recovery can recover not only the minor errors, but also the very severe ones in synchronization.
